Well, here is the little bit of my project that I have gotten done. What a rough week! Every time I start to cross-stitch, I have to stop because I am too tired and I make too many mistakes! Ugh! At least I got a little bit more done tonight so that it kind of looks like something. It is a paw!

As you can tell, I decided to stitch Tatty Teddy! He was just too cute to pass up! Plus I LOVE flowers so the two together was totally unBEARable...ha ha ha... :) I'm a goof! This is a top-secret cross-stitch! No one can know who or what it is for! But whoever it is for can watch it come to life!

Right now I don't even have enough done to warrant a photograph. When my work is larger, even if it is still all just the one color, THEN and ONLY THEN will I take a photograph.

It's done! I am really happy with how it turned out! I especially love the diamonds on the cat's collar! Go ME! It is hanging on the wall right by the computer so I can always look at it!

I love the backstitching on the cat's fur! It makes him look so cuddly! The hardest thing about this cross stitch project was all of the French knots! How I hate them! Every single letter "i" has one and there are about 4-5 in each flower too! UGH! At least I have finally kind of mastered how to do them. :)

I visited a great cross-stitch supply store yesterday. It was like cross-stitch heaven! I bought a 4-pack of gold plated needles and a heart-shaped key chain to put a little cross-stitch picture in. My next project is going to be Archie the bear! It is a nice, short, simple project. Archie the bear will be too big for the key chain. Maybe I will turn him into a greeting card.

All Cross-Stitching Done!
I am almost finished! All I have left now are some french knots in the flowers and the backstitching (outlining)!! Oh, and you can't forget the DIAMONDS! The cat looks silly without a face! He will have one tomorrow though! I love doing the backstitching because it really brings out the work and gives it such definition! I got my new magazine today too! I think I will do the free kit that came with it. We'll see though. :)

The Old Cat is starting to look like a cat! He now has part of an outline of a head and a nice red collar! The "diamonds" will be the final touch to the collar when I am all done! Hopefully, I will finish it this week. I need to start thinking of what I am going to do NEXT!

Tuesday, March 21, 2006 in the Evening

I got to cross-stitch a little bit this evening! I did some of the light grey in the body. The cat almost has half a body! Miracle of miracles, I spent most of my time CLEANING today! I know, I must be sick...

Here is my first entry into my super-high-tech cross-stitch journal blog! I am very excited to see how this works. I have been working on the "Old Cat Sampler" for a couple months. I have been so busy lately so I haven't had as much time as I would like to work on it.

Here is a photo of my current progress on the sampler as a whole:

Right now I am working on the cat:
